Éden is a 2D adventure game about an orphaned kid in search for his brother. Abel is a homeless child that has to travel the harsh world of neglected people to find a way to enter the "upperside".
The game aesthetic has a mix of anthropomorphic creatures, and Abel is the only human - having to wear animal masks to fit in.
Éden was first created as a college project to tackle the topic of social vulnerability back in 2022. It already has a playable demo that you can check out on itch.io (https://vortexindie.itch.io/eden-serious-game), and it was selected as a finalist in the category of indie games made by students at the BIG (Brazilian Indie Game) FESTIVAL (currently GAMESCOM LATAM) awards. The project aims to bring forth more awareness about homelessness and how we deal with homeless people, to show how we've always cast a shadow and ostracized their existence. The target audience is young adults and adults, people between 16 to 32 interested in social causes.
The release date is expected to be 2026.

Install instructions
To install and play the game, please follow the steps below for the platform you want to play on:
If you want to play on a computer:
Download the .rar file, right click on the downloaded file and click "extract here". This can be done in any folder you want your game to be saved.
If you want to play on an Android Phone:
Download the .apk file that we provide.
If you downloaded it on your cell phone, the file will be in one of your download folders. (Usually a notification is shown).
You will need to open the file. Once opened, it will ask you to install it.
Once installed, you can now play! Thank you!

O jogo é maravilhoso, e é isso! Amei o jeito que representa a sociedade, de uma forma sutil, mas impactante! Os gráficos são simplesmente incríveis, e as falas muito bem estruturadas! Estou ansioso para os próximos capítulos! Ryan, João, Rafa, e todos os outros envolvidos, estão de parabéns!
